There is a unique shade of blue that you only see around Bonne Bay in Gros Morne. The sky is a colour so vibrant and bright that every moment spent under it feels a little more vibrant and bright.

I spent the whole weekend wandering in a wide arc: A night in Rocky Harbour catching up with an old friend as the tourism industry packed up around us, a morning coffee by the beach in Norris Point and an afternoon on the trails in the Southeast Hills, Sunsets in Trout River skipping rocks with another old friend, chasing caribou families through the Tablelands, playing songs in the Woody Point Legion.

In the morning, we wound our way down an old logging road for miles and miles and climbed down into the Lomond River Sinkhole, one of the most incredible sights I’ve ever seen. Sat in the belly of the earth and watched the water tumbling down around. Headed home with my heart full of Bonne Bay Blue.
